The platform is known for its rapid migration to new domains following takedown efforts by authorities, as reported by Bleeping Computer. The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), in collaboration with UEFA, UC3, and Mexican authorities, successfully shut down 44 domains linked to PirloTV. These domains collectively attracted over 950 million visits annually, with a significant portion originating from Mexico and Colombia, and also drawing traffic from Spain and the United States. This action, occurring ahead of the UEFA Champions League final and during the FIFA World Cup, is expected to impact the sports piracy ecosystem in Latin America. PirloTV is frequently used to stream World Cup matches on mobile devices, where legal access can be complicated by fragmented broadcasting rights. Despite the takedown, some PirloTV domains remain accessible, offering streams from channels like ESPN, Fox Sports, and TNT Sports.
