CVE-2026-50292 In libinput before 1.30.4 and 1.31.x before 1.31.3, libinput-device-group unescaped phys output can inject udev properties leading to arbitrary root code execution

CVE-2026-50292 (CVSS 7.4 High) in libinput is a CRLF injection vulnerability where unescaped `phys` output allows an attacker to inject malicious udev properties, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution with root privileges. Affected versions are freedesktop libinput before 1.30.4 and versions 1.31.0 through 1.31.2. The vulnerability is fixed in libinput versions 1.30.4 and 1.31.3.
